Clinical MedMarker™ Protocol Range Guide

Abstract:  Clinical MedMarker™ Protocol Ranges are achievable and appropriate ranges of clinical practice for the services and procedures that drive higher cost of care by specialty type (i.e., MedMarkers™). The MedMarker™ services are also process-of-care quality measures that are well-defined by clinical guidelines, for many common medical conditions. The Clinical MedMarker™ Protocol Ranges foster collaborative discussions between physician groups, health plans, health systems and other clinical leaders. Clinical leader discussions concern what constitutes an achievable and appropriate practice range for a MedMarker™. The ranges are based on the objective, collective experience of the CCGroup National Specialist Panels and the CCGroup National MedMarker™ Comparative Database.
